The North Texas Suzuki Association is proud to announce our annual Winter Workshop. January 3-4, 2014

Dr. Jeremy Dittus, Diplôme Supérieur.

This 10-hour workshop will be geared towards professional musicians and music educators. Dalcroze Education uses the body to explore musical concepts in dynamic, engaging, and playful ways. Throughout this workshop we will discover new and meaningful ways to understand music using focused physical gesture and movement. In addition to movement concentrated on adult learning, participants will survey principles of Dalcroze Education along with specific Dalcrozian strategies and techniques to acquire new approaches for personal practice and performance, the private lesson, and group classroom teaching.

Course topics include: Eurhythmics, Solfège, and Improvisation.

Jeremy Dittus enjoys a career as a pianist, theorist, and Dalcroze eurhythmics instructor. An avid recitalist, he has performed solo and chamber programs and presented Dalcroze masterclasses throughout the United States and Europe. He is the founder and director of the Dalcroze School of the Rockies in Denver, Colorado, the only authorized Dalcroze training center west of Pittsburgh in the United States.

Enrollment is limited and interest is very high. Please register soon to secure your place in the workshop!
